"5th Quarter BreakOut" for Youth in Grades 6 to 12.
Price is $2.00, which covers the cost of the snacks. This event is adult supervised. Contact the Church for

Epworth United Methodist Church 
will host a SPAGHETTI DINNER from
4:30PM til 6:30PM on Saturday, September 18th. Menu includes pasta, salad or applesauce, bread, dessert and
beverage. Cost is $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 10 and under. Reservations can be made by
calling the Church, or tickets may be purchased at the door.

One of the most powerful preachers at the end of the 18th Century was our city's namesake —
Jean-Baptiste Massillon. Born in a small town in France, this Roman Catholic Bishop
became a familiar face
in the courts of France's Louis XIV and XV, preaching powerful, down-to-earth sermons without thought of who he might please
or who he might offend. His unwavering zeal and lifelong passion for the poor earned him admiration from both
royalty and common folks alike.
